Sugar Sander

Our high-quality sugar sanders stand for even distribution and great bonding of the sugar coating; they are easy to clean and fully automated. The extruded product is guided onto a vibrating bed of sugar, while simultaneously a curtain of fresh sugar is dropped from the top over the product. The excess sugar is collected and recycled.

Cutting machine

The characteristic features of our modern designs are reliability, ease of cleaning, maintenance and extremely accurate cutting. Our cutting machines feature knife travel synchronized with the belt speed, therefore ensuring a clean and vertical cut. The capability of cutting speeds of up to 600 cuts per minute.

Steamer/Powder Dusting System

This is a system that consists of two steps, first step being a steaming system, where the extruded strands are exposed to steam to make the sticky (-ier), after that a dusting system covers the products with a mix of powders (such as sugar, salt, chili and other spices).

The strands will be chilled back to room temperature after that and cut to the required length.

Slurry Pumping System / Buffer Tank and Slurry Mixer

Slurry pumping system:
Slurry dosing system, consisting of a frequency controlled pump and a double filter to prevent larger foreign objects and lumps to enter into the cooking extruder.

A infeed pressure sensor controls the pump speed and subsequently the flow of slurry to the extrusion system. An automatic flow meter for the slurry flow is optional.

Buffer tank and slurry mixer:
Consisting of a jacketed and insulated mixing vessel for mixing all ingredients of the licorice slurry and a jacketed and insulated buffer vessel to store up to 3 batches of ready-made slurry.

From this point on, the whole process becomes continuous.
