About us

Company details

Pioneering integration for resource efficiency

Working together as three business lines has taught us to make the most of our resources. Over the years, we have developed our integrate so that each part supports the other, laying the foundation for a circular model of operating. Both Consumer Boards and Absorbex® are provided raw material by Wood, and additionally recycled paperboard can be used by Absorbex® in long-lasting saturated kraft paper. At Kotkamills, we efficiently use raw wood material in the various stages of the production chain. Paper and board production utilises the sawdust and woodchips created when sawing spruce timber into planks. Refining sawmill by-products into raw materials that are suitable for our other production processes while minimising e.g. logistical impacts is beneficial both to economy and environment.
