STERILIZING, ROASTING, COATING, STOCK PROTECTION, DRYING.

Using infrared light, the continuous FoodSafety-Infrared Rotary Drum (FS-IRD) is ideal for sterilization, roasting, coating,
drying, and killing insects and larvae in many food ingredients as spices, herbs, seeds, teas, vegetables, fruits, and nuts.
The operating principle of the infrared light is to heat the product from inside in conjunction with the application of heat
to the outside. In this way, the product is gently sterilized, roasted, or dried.

ONE MACHINE FOR ALL PROCESSES

Even fragile products (such as cashews, sliced almonds, chamomile, laurel leaves), products with high oil content (such as peanuts, cumin), and products containing sugar can be treated with success.

Using infrared light, the continuous FoodSafety-Infrared Rotary Drum (FS-IRD) is ideal for pasteurization, sterilization, drying, roasting, coating, and killing insects and larvae in nuts.

The operating principle of the infrared light is to heat the product from inside in conjunction with the application of heat to the outside.

The application of fine mist of water enables a 5-log reduction while protecting the organoleptic properties of the nuts. Coating with salt, sugar, spices, coloring, and flavor extracts during this phase is also an advantageous option.

KREYENBORG recommends the FS-Cooling Drum for a complete solution which decreases the product temperature after treatment to ambient for immediate packing.
