As things stand, the fairs can take place without the Corona restrictions of the past two pandemic years. For example, the access restrictions, the distance rule and strict specifications for stand construction will no longer apply. However, such measures can be reintroduced if the state of North Rhine-Westphalia identifies a localised, threatening infection situation.
What prevention measures does Messe Düsseldorf plan for the postponed trade fairs and the other planned events?
To continue providing all participants with a sense of safety, Messe Düsseldorf will voluntarily adhere to hygiene and infection protection measures. The company continues to recommend wearing medical masks on its site and keeping a distance of 1.5 meters from other people. In addition, it provides disinfectant dispensers and cleans frequently used contact surfaces several times a day. Distance markings in waiting areas ensure that crowds of people are kept apart, for example in front of information desks and checkouts. Doors, provided they are not fire doors, are opened so that they can be passed through without being touched. Transparent partitions at service and information counters also remain in place.
Can the halls be ventilated sufficiently during trade fair operations to minimise an infection risk? Are the air-conditioning systems of Messe Düsseldorf equipped with special virus filters?
Constant and sufficient ventilation is ensured by the air-handling systems: the volume of fresh air constantly supplied to the halls exceeds the actual need many times over and the fresh air quality corresponds to the outdoor air. Furthermore, our new HEPA fil-ters help to ensure that we can offer all guests the greatest possible protection during our trade fairs. In combination with our high-performance ventilation system, our voluntary hygiene measures, our spacious premises and halls, we reduce the infection risk to a minimum. After two pandemic years and a period of intense digital communication participants can feel safe when networking, initiating business deals and experiencing innovations in person again.
Is wearing face masks mandatory at the Exhibition Centre?
To continue providing all participants with a sense of safety, Messe Düsseldorf will voluntarily adhere to hygiene and infection protection measures. The company contin-ues to recommend wearing medical masks on its site.
Will the number of tickets per day be limited? How do you want to manage the number of persons present at the premises?
All upcoming events at the Düsseldorf site will be planned with infection in mind: There is enough space for everyone on the site and thus every visitor who wants to come receives a ticket.
How do you intend to ensure contact tracing?
Contact tracing is no longer necessary according to the current Corona Protection Ordinance NRW.
Will there be testing facilities at the Düsseldorf exhibition center?
There will be an official test centre on the Düsseldorf exhibition grounds with which you can conclude a contract for the testing of your employees for the duration of the fair. Please note that we expect a high occupancy rate during the trade fair and long wait-ing times. We therefore STRONGLY recommend using e.g. test centres in the immediate vicinity of the respective accommodation.
How do I inform myself about the current entry regulations?
The Federal Government no longer qualifies any countries as Corona risk areas, which means that the quarantine and registration obligations have also become obsolete, so that there are no longer any Corona-related entry restrictions to Germany for all participants of trade fairs. When entering Germany, a negative test result, proof of vaccination or proof of recovery must be presented. It is important that a vaccine rec-ognised in Germany has been used. Citizens of countries requiring a visa who enter Germany to visit a trade fair or to exhibit at a trade fair still need a business visa for which proof of participation in the trade fair must be provided.

What are the special requirements for stand planning and construction?
There are currently no special requirements for stand planning or construction, as the current Corons Protection Ordinance of the State of NRW does not stipulate this. Only the Technical Guidelines of Messe Düsseldorf apply. To continue providing all partici-pants with a sense of safety, Messe Düsseldorf will voluntarily adhere to hygiene and infection protection measures. The company continues to recommend wearing medical masks on its site and keeping a distance of 1.5 meters from other people.
What should I consider for my journey by public transport?
As usual, Messe Düsseldorf is in close contact with the city's public transport operators in order to adjust the frequency of buses and trains to the times of the trade fair. The intervals are significantly higher than in regular operation. The transport companies themselves have developed hygiene and infection protection concepts based on the current COVID-19 Protection Ordinance in order to transport their passengers safely.
Some details about the concepts:
The cleaning frequency of all public transport facilities was increased, especially in the contact areas.
In the subway area, dispensers for disinfectants are installed at most stations.
Masks are mandatory in all stations, stops and in the vehicles themselves.
You can find all the information you need about travelling to the event by public transport in the Düsseldorf city area at: https://www.rheinbahn.com.
How do I react when I am ill or in poor health?
If you have symptoms of COVID-19 or have had contact with someone who has COVID-19 and develop symptoms within 14 days, you should place yourself in self-isolation, perform an antigen self-test and contact your doctor / health care provider by telephone.
Announce your visit to your practice/hospital and describe that you have symptoms and/or have had contact with a sick person.
Messe Düsseldorf does not have event sovereignty over partner and guest events. Please contact the respective organizer if you have any questions.
