Bickenbach, Germany, February 7, 2014: scanware electronic GmbH is again exhibiting solutions for packaging security at interpack, Dusseldorf. The product family LYNX-CAPA includes three new, wheeled devices enabling placement of tamper-evidence labels, case packing and aggregation labeling with appropriate optical controls. Further information will be available at interpack.
The units have a lot in common: the wheeled construction allows use at multiple packaging lines. They are particularly user-friendly due to resistive touchscreens and self-explanatory menus. Optical recognition of barcodes, 2D-codes, logos and plain text is powered by LYNX-SIGNUM HR.
The Tamper-Evidence unit LYNX-CAPA TE offers both print and print verification alongside adhesion of tamper-evidence labels. Boxes are lead on both sides for precise positioning of prints and labels. The unit is adjustable three ways to fit any box and line without fault.
Correct content of larger packaging units such as cartons and cases can be checked on the case packing unit LYNX-CAPA CI. Filled boxes are inspected from atop and content aligned to database entries. In this process, every single individual code is checked for maximum security.
Attaching labels to cases or pallets is done at the aggregation station LYNX-CAPA MA. A printer placed on the writer will supply a batch label. After manual placement scanners are used to check prints and a new entry into the database is processed.
